Get to Know Regina Musheyev, DDS
Dr. Regina Musheyev brings over 15 years of experience to Brooklyn City Dental along with a passion for restorative and esthetic dentistry. Her favorite aspect of being a dentist is being able to collaborate with such a highly skilled team to provide top-notch care to patients. She also loves that she gets to work with state-of-the-art technology and leading-edge software, allowing her to achieve the best outcomes for her patients. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Musheyev has always had a deep love for art, detail, and symmetry, which was what led her to choose dentistry as a career. To her, dentistry is a unique blend of science and art, where every procedure is an opportunity to create beauty and restore function.
She had a desire to improve the quality of life for others due to the challenging circumstances that she was born under. Her witnessing of her mother’s compromised health from a young age sparked her lifelong commitment to care for others, and dentistry allows her to do just that.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Musheyev completed her undergraduate studies at Touro College for Women, where she graduated summa cum laude with dual degrees. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery at New York University where she participated in the Honors Aesthetics Program. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work in high-end Manhattan dental offices in addition to serving underprivileged communities, and she has always made it a priority to give back to her community. She does this by offering oral health education to children and single mothers in local schools.
Today, Dr. Musheyev holds dual licensure in both Canada and the United States and continuously advances her skills through membership with the following organizations:
- Prosthodontic Associates Centre for Excellence (PACE) (Out of Toronto)
- American Dental Association
- Academy of General Dentistry
- New York State Dental Association
Dr. Musheyev also completes ongoing education to stay at the forefront of new techniques, technology, and other innovations in the dental field. Most recently, she has completed a full mouth rehabilitation program at NYU, allowing her to help patients with more complex restorative dental cases.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Originally from New York, Dr. Musheyev is inspired every day by her family, who are the center of her world. She’s a proud mother who is passionate about prioritizing quality time, family traditions, and fostering a positive home environment. She also has a toy poodle!
Whenever Dr. Musheyev isn’t at the dental office, you can find her appreciating art, enjoying nature, and finding inspiration in new and diverse experiences. She also loves seeing the ballet and orchestra perform, practicing yoga, and volunteering in her community. An interesting fact about Dr. Musheyev is that she speaks Russian.
